Sycamores Ranch Western Riding Centre is Wales's only dedicated Western Riding Centre and is found in the historic village of Llawhaden in the heart of the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and Horse Riding in Pembrokeshire is second to none! The Ranch specialises in all aspects of Western Riding be it simply for pleasure or for competition work. One of the most frequent question we get asked is " What is the difference between Western Riding & English Riding " or " What is the History Of Western Riding ". Well in order to enlighten you on this matter please feel free to click on the below picture link which we have provided and this will hopefully help you to understand the subject. The Ranch There are about 8 of our own Quarter Horses, some of our Brood Mares others young stock being trained for sale. Then there are always up to around 25 others horses at the Ranch, including DIY, Part and Full liveries and clients horses in for backing and schooling, “The Trail Team” and our two beautiful Quarter Horse Stallions, Usk Valley Buckaroo and Rowden Jack . We offer 1 hour to whole day Western Trail rides for those who have longed to experience the American style trail rides, without having to travel hundreds of miles! Obviously Wales, is not as vast as America, doesn’t have the Rocky Mountains, or the Grand Canyon but we personally think it’s landscape, history and all round beauty is second to none! At the end of the day, customers come here to enjoy the comfortable western saddles, admire the scenic routes, along ancient bridleways, woodland, rivers and streams, as well as finding a new friend, albeit the four legged kind. As well as the trail side, which in the main is a bit of fun and a chance for people to relax, we also teach people Western riding for those who want to take it a bit more seriously. Horses are also taken into the Ranch for backing and schooling in western. The Ranch has about 80 acres of excellent pasture land, a 60ft diameter sand Round Pen, the largest All Weather Arena of its type in the country and some of the Best Out-riding in Pembrokeshire. The Ranch also has it's own Quarter Horse breeding stallions Usk Valley Buckaroo and Rowden Jack. CLICK ON THE PICTURES BELOW TO SEE MORE ON OUR STALLIONS.....
